The McNicholas Legacy Society is made up of alumni and friends who have either included McNicholas in their estate plans or named the school as a beneficiary in a charitable gift arrangement. In 1951, McNicholas opened its doors, graduating its first class in the summer of 1956. This class forged a path for future generations, just as membership in the McNicholas Legacy Society can do. You can ensure a lasting legacy of your own through the future of McNicholas.
When you make a planned gift to McNicholas High School, you'll be welcomed into McNicholas Legacy Society and join other supporters and friends of our important mission. Is McNicholas High School already in your plans?
If you've already included McNicholas in your plans, please let us know so we can properly thank you and make sure your gift will be used as you've intended.

Mike and Linda Clark ’84
“Making a planned gift to McNicholas HS is our way of giving back to the place that shaped so much of who we are today. Throughout our time there, we received not just an education, but friendships and experiences that set the foundation for our future. By contributing in this way, we hope to ensure that future generations of students have access to the same opportunities we had.”
Janet (Koehler) Norton ’43
Janet (Koehler) Norton ’43 (St. Joseph Academy) left a very generous planned gift of life insurance proceeds to McNicholas High School. Regarding his mom’s gift, her son Dan Norton ’74 said, “Our mom had a special place in her heart for her alma mater, St. Joseph Academy, which became McNicholas High School in 1951. She was very generous and lived in the moment, but she also wanted to make sure the school thrived for future generations.”
